I have been itching to make a mountain man bowie for quite some time after falling in love with the Bowie that was a main feature in the film Seraphim falls.I wanted to stay to "mountain man" and American theme so I used American maple for the handle and brass for the guard and butt plate. Its a good size with a 235mm blade (9inch) and a total length of 370mm or 14.5 inches. The blade is 35mm wide and 5mm thick on the spine. Its a big thing and sat here on my desk taking up too much room but I don't know what to do with it now.
